Locals can always be found with a pole in the water seated on the edge of the park or on the Sarasota Pier. The Sarasota Pier jets out into the Bay right next to the Ringling Bridge. Come fishing with friends or teach your kids or grandkids to fish. No bait, no problem! No pole, no problem! Hart’s Landing is a bait and tackle shop that can be found at the park. It’s history dates back to 1934, as Hart’s prides itself in being Sarasota’s oldest saltwater fishing bait and tackle store.
