Emerald Landing: A Tour Inside Sarasota's Newest Homes

If you want a waterfront home in one of the biggest communities in Sarasota, then you must know about Emerald Landing.

These new homes in Waterside are incredible!


We are going to discuss the location, the amenities, and the major drawback that I think might affect potential buyers.

Emerald Landing is a brand-new community in Waterside, an extension of Lakewood Ranch, featuring various neighborhoods located east of I-75, north of Fruitville Road, and south of University Parkway.

The community will overlook the huge and beautiful Kingfisher Lake, having its own dock, and is one of the few neighborhoods in Waterside with access to the water taxi.

Beyond the water ferry that can take you across the lake for a date night or a Sunday at the Farmer's Market, this community will have on-site amenities for residents to enjoy.

The amenities include a clubhouse, dog park, fire pit, two pickleball courts, a playground, a resort-style pool with lap lanes, a beach and lawn area, and walking trails.

The Emerald Landing community is being built by David Weekly Homes, offering townhomes and single-family homes with over 10 floor plan options.

The smallest option is a single-family plan called The Breaker, with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a 2-car garage spanning over 1,500 square feet. In contrast, the largest floor plan is called The Seamount, offering 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and a 3-car garage with over 3,100 square feet.

However, the model I will show you now is called The Waterfront.

This floor plan model is a 2-story home offering 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms in a 2,400-square-foot living space, with a unique feature being a rear-load garage.

One thing to note about these homes is that you are not allowed to add a pool unless the house you choose is part of The Lake series.

Overall, this is an incredible and gorgeous community, and my favorite aspect is that it is one of the closest Waterside communities to Waterside Place. You can literally walk over to Waterside Place in less than a third of a mile.
