The Best Thing to Do in Sarasota During Winter

This past month, I did something I had never done before during winter in Sarasota.

With a camera and a microphone, I took my car and drove around the city to show you exactly what it looks like during what should be the coldest months of the year.

Now, I will share with you the best thing you can do to enjoy this time of the year.

The great thing about living in Sarasota is that you don't have to worry about extreme cold, and you have water nearby 24/7.

But how can you enjoy the water during winter?

Well, you have so many excellent options, from water exercises to simply sitting by the beach or a park with waterfront views. But what I did, which I had never experienced before during winter, was to get on a boat and spend the day sailing.

I called a friend who loves spending time on the boat and asked him to join me. I took my drone and tried this new adventure.

It was the best winter experience I could have imagined!

The day we went out on that boat, the weather was incredible, although a little windy. I was able to capture beautiful shots of all the water in Sarasota, and we passed through Lido Key, Bird Key, and Siesta Key.

There were people jet skiing in the water, and so many boats out and about that I didn't even remember it was winter.

We took a break at New Pass, a great fishing spot with a variety of waterfront restaurants, including my all-time favorite, New Pass Grill. This area has some incredible activities to enjoy with your kids, such as snorkeling and picnic tables to eat while watching the water.

It was truly a different experience for me, but something I want to do again and something I highly recommend you do if you want to enjoy Sarasota's winter on the water.
