The Sarasota Art Museum is located off Tamiami Trail just outside downtown Sarasota. The Sarasota Art Museum is located within the original and historic Sarasota High School building. The Museum has partnered with Sarasota's local college, Ringling College of Art + Design, to transform this museum into a space that showcases Sarasota's culture alongside contemporary art. In fact, it's Sarasota's first contemporary art museum. In the museum you'll find exhibition gallery spaces, an auditorium, an outdoor sculpture garden, a bistro, retail store, and grounds for various purposes.
