A Guide Around Siesta Key
Memories for those of us that call it home, and those of us that choose it as a getaway. As a local realtor, I love to educate others on Sarasota's amazing beaches, culture, real estate, and more. Make this your one stop guide to all things Siesta Key; Siesta Key beaches, Siesta Key Condos, Siesta Key attractions, Siesta Key dining, and Siesta Key shopping.
Siesta Key Beaches
Siesta Key arguably has the best beaches in the US. From the beautiful white sand of Siesta Key Beach Public Beach to the private beach accesses along the key, everyone can find their ideal atmosphere. Many love water sports on the beach, taking in the sun, or watching the breathtaking west coast sunsets. See some of Siesta Key's public beach accesses below. Siesta Key also has many private beach access points when staying at one of the many Siesta Key condo vacation rentals.
Siesta Key Beach is the most famous beach on Siesta Key. Siesta Key Beach has buttery soft and pure white sand, calm and warm waters, and amazing sunset views. Amenities include food concessions, covered pavilion, restrooms, picnic tables, grills, rental station, lifeguards, volleyball nets, playground, tennis courts, sunset deck, and a beach shop. There is a lot of parking at the main beach access. There are also many other beach accesses to Siesta Key Beach along Beach Rd., though, they do not have beach amenities.
Turtle Beach also located on Siesta Key, has a different atmosphere. This is a quieter beach, with darker sand and more shells, calm warm waters, and amazing sunset views. Turtle Beach also has a boat/kayak launch. Amenities include a playground, volleyball court, horseshoe pit, boat launch, grills, picnic pavilions, and restrooms. There are also no lifeguards at this beach.
Crescent Beach located on the middle and south side of Siesta Key makes up a large portion of Siesta Key beaches. This beach has the desirable white sand and is the hot spot for snorkeling. On this beach, you can find, “Point of Rocks” an area with coral rock formations situated in shallow waters. There are no amenities on Crescent Beach. Most of the beach accesses onto Crescent Beach are private accesses available to those staying or living in a Siesta Key condo with private beach access.
Palmer Point Beach Park on Siesta Key is the most private of the Siesta Key beaches. It can be found on the south end. This beach is quiet, quaint, and relaxing. But it has no amenities, and no parking at the access itself.
Siesta Key Beaches are the perfect getaway! Sarasota has many more beautiful beaches throughout its islands and keys. Click here to find photos and information on all Sarasota, FL beaches.
